The “Visit.Brussels Awards” were presented to 6 Brussels initiatives. BeCook! drew the attention of the jury with their project and won the Sustainable Initiative Award.
Founded by Sara Dirkx and Philippe Thewissen, BeCook! is a co-kitchen space that accompanies future entrepreneurs in developing of their project.
Within the Greenbizz building, BeCook! houses four professional kitchens available 24/7 where ambitious foodies have access to a complete infrastructure and, above all, benefit from the digital tools necessary for their success. BeCook! provides their customers with 360° assistance, especially with their Guide for Food Entrepreneurs in which they answer essential questions to launch a project.
For more than 10 years, the "Visit.Brussels Awards" have been rewarding cultural and tourist initiatives in Brussels that have enabled the capital to shine on a national and international level. Every year, the grand winners of this price are elected by a professional jury and the public. In 2020, the health crisis had a major impact on all sectors of tourism and cultural activity in Brussels, which is why the "visit.brussels Awards" have revised their categories to create 6 new ones.
After a first selection established on June 7, 2021 by the general public, 5 projects were nominated in each category.
BeCook! was one of the winners of the Sustainable Initiative Award for its project to support food entrepreneurs who are (re)launching their businesses in the wake of the health crisis.
Thanks to their shared space and assistance, BeCook! has enabled 13 entrepreneurs to (re)launch their project and has generated 46 full-time equivalent jobs in 2020.
